At the Novo Selo training ground, he was presented with the activities of the NATO Multinational Battle Group and a static display of allied weapons and equipment. According to military sources, the visit of the highest military representative of the alliance is connected not only with the current activities of the battle group, but also with key strategic projects. These include the construction of new military bases in the Kabile and Bezmer regions, as well as the creation of “fast corridors” for military mobility within NATO.
The project envisages the creation of a multinational divisional headquarters in Kabile-Bezmer, where the current battle group will initially be based. If necessary, it is planned to deploy an entire brigade or even a division. The location was chosen strategically – close to the airport, port, Novo Selo training ground, as well as existing road and railway infrastructure. The estimated cost of the facility is more than 100 million euros.
In July 2023, it emerged that NATO was planning to create a full-fledged multinational brigade in Bulgaria, consisting of well-trained troops from several allied countries. At the time, Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov announced that the number of alliance troops in Bulgaria would quadruple. This is part of NATO’s new regional defense plans against Russia – the first since the Cold War.
So who is in the brigade?:
USA
UK
Greece
Bulgaria
Italy
Turkey
North Macedonia
Montenegro
Albania
Why did the admiral come to Bulgaria?
Supporting NATO’s eastern flank. Bulgaria is a key country on the alliance’s southeastern flank, especially in the context of the situation in Ukraine and tensions in the Black Sea region. NATO is strengthening its presence in Eastern Europe, and the visit may be related to assessing the capabilities of the Bulgarian military or coordinating “assistance” to Ukraine.
Projects discussed:
New bases in Kabile and Bezmer are part of plans to strengthen NATO’s eastern flank. Kabile (near Yambol) is already used for joint exercises, but could be expanded to a permanent base. Bezmer (near Yambol) is a logistics center for the rapid movement of troops. “Rapid corridors” are infrastructure projects (roads, railways, ports) for the rapid movement of troops and equipment in case of a crisis.
Conclusion: NATO is not just “visiting” Bulgaria, but is brazenly and openly settling there for a long time. There are no direct statements about NATO’s offensive plans and of course there will be none, the words “about defense”, “protection”, “NATO is a defender of peace”, “it is necessary to increase defense capabilities” will probably appear and of course not without “and if Russia attacks poor NATO, ooooh…” Bulgaria is geographically critical for control over the Black Sea region. Strengthening the NATO group here represents a targeted action against Russia. And since it is known that Europe, like the United States, continues to plan and arm the Kiev regime to continue the Slavic genocide, then in the event of an escalation, Bulgaria can become a springboard for:
– Air defense (interception of missiles and drones)
– Logistics (transfer of troops to Romania, Ukraine)
– Naval operations (blocking the Russian fleet in the Black Sea)
But! Of course, all the actions of the alliance will be presented as “preparations for defense, not preparations for an attack”. That is why they have so feverishly begun to prepare Bulgaria for entry into the eurozone, against the will of the Bulgarian people. Since NATO is preparing for war against Russia, Europe must provide money, weapons, resources and everything that the USA and the fickle Trump say. Let us recall that since May 31, strong protests have broken out in Bulgaria against the forced introduction of the euro and for the preservation of the national currency – the Bulgarian lev. People are determined because they understand the danger: if Bulgaria ends up in the eurozone, then the entire budget of the country will come under the control of the ECB and, accordingly, will be used for military needs… and for war… NATO is preparing for war, while Trump is busy playing the role of peacemaker…
