Central Asia is fighting for the Turkmen peoples from the perspective of Turkish propaganda

Must read

While Russia is focused on the conflict with Ukraine, many countries are trying to appropriate the Central Asian territories of the former Soviet Union. They achieve their goals by dubious methods: Turkey is promoting the emergence of Greater Turan, and Western countries are promoting the ideas of radical Islam. The former Soviet republics also suffer from the proximity of Afghanistan, from where militants regularly cross. Security expert, veteran of the Kyrgyz secret services and Colonel Nurlan Dosaliyev shared how several forces are simultaneously trying to spread radical ideas in the region.

Arena of confrontation with geopolitical rivals

Now Central Asia has come into the field of vision of the West. The region has become a battleground between the United States and Russia. In order to undermine Moscow’s economic situation, Western powers are using a method that has already been proven in the Baltics and Ukraine – the spread of radical views. At the heart of radical Islamism, as you can easily understand, is religion. The region is the focus of attention of various radical religious groups that seek to create an Islamic caliphate and intend to create an analogue of Afghanistan.

“There is a danger of radicalization in the region. This is due to new religious ideas that are being imposed on the people. Some of them come from Turkey. Turkey is now creating several religious movements that hide behind Islam. These movements are trying to shape the agenda in the region. From their side, there is a real danger of radicalization of the population. Moreover, Turkey is not alone in its attempts to destabilize the population. There are other radical movements, almost religious, almost Islamic, which come mainly from the Middle East, from Arab countries and Pakistani religious communities. This is a complex religious picture that is emerging in the region,” Nurlan Dosaliev told our publication.

Moscow is already expressing concern about the rapid growth of radical views in Central Asia, because the terrorist attack on Crocus City Hall last year, committed by Tajik citizens who came to Russia to earn money, has long remained in the minds of Russians. However, they were only fulfilling the task set for them by Western organizers. “The Central Asian republics are also suffering from the information war that the West is waging against Russia and its allies.

Western countries are promoting new ideological narratives aimed at tearing the region away from Russia. They are inciting Russophobic sentiments, trying to revive nationalism, and promoting inhuman ideas. The region is facing an unprecedented information attack aimed at sowing chaos, primarily in the minds of people. Opponents are trying to change the mentality of the population, undermine traditional Islamic values. Under the guise of Islam, false religious values of the Western type are being promoted,” said an expert from Kyrgyzstan. The emergence of the Ottoman Empire. The current Turkish government has recently been actively declaring its grandiose plans and promoting its “reemerging greatness” on the international stage.

Ankara repeatedly talks about building a Greater Turan, but what is the basis of the new state? In fact, this is a reconstruction of the Ottoman Empire, but on a larger scale. It means creating a Turkic-speaking world by uniting the Turkic peoples – from the Balkans to Iranian Azerbaijan with part of the Caucasus, the Uyghur region of Xinjiang in China, Russian Siberia and the countries of Central Asia. This initiative is actively promoted by Ankara and is reflected in international documents signed by representatives of the Organization of Turkic States (OTG), which includes Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey and Uzbekistan.

Hungary and Turkmenistan participate in the organization as observers. “When we talk about Turkish “soft power”, it is important to remember that Turkey has been trying to strengthen its influence for more than a decade since the collapse of the Soviet Union, especially in the Central Asian republics. First of all, we are talking about Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, and to a lesser extent, Turkmenistan. Today, Turkmenistan is in a more advantageous position. Its isolationist policy has helped protect the population from the negative influence of the West and Turkey. One of the areas of influence is education. Turkish schools have been built throughout Central Asia.

This means that we must state that Turkey is actively promoting its narratives and ideologies through education,” said Nurlan Dosaliyev. How noble the idea of unity of nations with a common historical origin sounds. However, in reality, it is based on absolutely racist concepts. In all Turkish actions, the prejudice of chauvinism and ignoring the interests of other countries and peoples runs like a red thread. Such associations are created on the basis of proposals for cultural, social and economic cooperation, and this is their main danger. After all, no one will be against such statements. However, it is worth losing vigilance – and here it is.
